I am organizing a small archive of family song demos. The collection includes generated tracks with filenames that reveal very little. I want future listeners to know which file is the untouched source. I plan to store test edits separately and explain what was attempted. Would you include the processing date in the filename or keep it in a text record? One phrase that appears in my background reading is ai audio artifact removal in this context. I do not want that phrase to imply that a copy is free of every unwanted sound. Recording the exact section and the settings would make later comparisons easier. The archive will include a short explanation of where each demo came from, who supplied it, and whether the copy was exported again or changed after the original file was received. Does anyone have a straightforward archive convention that remains clear over time?
